Olist Launches Olist Campus At UNILAG

On Friday, March 6, one of Nigeria’s top e-commerce sites, Olist, hosted the Unilag Faculty of Education Students Association’s Freshers and Staylite welcome back party in a bid to promote the Olist campus application. The party which was a partnership between Olist and the education faculty took place at the UBA park in the university of Lagos.

The welcome back party which began at 2 pm brought together over 1000 students from every department. The entertaining artist performance, music, lifestyle and dance aroused the interest of the students, however, the barbecue, free drinks and free gifts by OList kept the students happily partying till the later hours of the evening.

Despite the heavy downpour and the wind which threatened to ruin the day, the students were undeterred as they continued trooping in numbers to the event.

The students who were soaked to their pants could be seen dancing and joyfully collecting the freshly prepared spicy barbecue and chilled drinks.

There were various artists performances and games, including rap battle, singing and dance competition as well as “how well do you know your anthem.” The winners of the competition went home with cash prizes, tee shirts, face caps, power banks and other amazing prizes.

According to the students who were very eager to be interviewed, “This party rocks” some noted that it was the best party they had attended and they wished it never ended. More importantly, they thanked OList for such an opportunity provided by the app to help them buy and sell their goods with ease.

Olalekan Adebisi from the Education Faculty noted that, ” I am very excited with the app, it’s very easy to use and I can now use it to grow my business, get school updates and gist as well as make friends. I have been looking for an app that can do all that with ease and when I heard of OList by Opera I was very thankful.”
